This site, MacroTape (macrotape.io), is published by the entity identified below. These terms govern your use of the site. By reading or using it you accept them.

2. What this site is

MacroTape publishes macroeconomic research and market commentary: analysis of interest rates, sovereign debt, currencies, credit conditions and digital assets. Content is opinion and analysis. It is written for a general audience and is published on a rolling weekday schedule, alongside ad-hoc analysis pieces.

Where a piece expresses a directional or positional view, it reflects the author's analytical judgement about macroeconomic conditions. It is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any financial instrument, and it is not tailored to any reader's circumstances, objectives or risk tolerance. No reader should act on it without independent advice.

3. No financial advice

Nothing on this site constitutes investment, legal, tax or accounting advice, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security, instrument or digital asset. MacroTape does not provide personalised advice and does not manage money. Where we discuss instruments, we do so to illustrate an analytical point, not to propose a transaction.

Financial markets involve substantial risk, including the risk of losing the entire amount invested. Past performance is not a guide to future results. Any figures, levels or scenarios published are estimates or illustrations unless expressly stated otherwise, and may be revised or withdrawn without notice.

4. Disclosure of positions

Synergy Consulting BV holds no proprietary investment or trading positions in any of the financial instruments or asset classes discussed on this site. Individual authors, officers, or contributors may hold personal positions in the instruments mentioned. Any such personal positions are strictly separate from, and do not influence the editorial independence of, the macroeconomic analysis provided.

5. Accuracy, timeliness and no warranty

We take care over the data we publish, and each figure is shown with its own as-of date where the underlying source lags. Even so, the site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we make no warranty, express or implied, as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Data drawn from third-party sources may contain errors we do not control.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Belgian law, Synergy Consulting BV and its authors, officers and contributors shall not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising out of or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, this site or its content. This includes, without limitation, trading losses, lost profits, lost opportunity, loss of data, and any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, whether the claim arises in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. That includes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, intentional misconduct (dol / opzet), or death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory statutory rights you have under applicable consumer law, and nothing here affects them.

You are solely responsible for the investment decisions you make and for evaluating the risks of any instrument you trade.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this site — text, the composite risk gauge and its underlying methodology, charts, page design and source code — is owned by the publisher or licensed to it, and is protected by copyright. You may read, quote briefly with clear attribution and a link, and share links freely. You may not republish content in bulk, resell it, present it as your own, or use it to train machine-learning models without written permission.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to scrape, crawl or systematically extract content, to attempt to overload or probe the site's infrastructure, to introduce malicious code, or to use the site in a way that breaks any law or the rights of others. Automated access that places unreasonable load on the service may be blocked.

In particular, you may not systematically harvest the composite risk gauge or its component readings — whether by scraping the page, calling the underlying data files, or reconstructing the series from repeated requests — nor republish the gauge as a data feed or embed it in another product. The gauge is editorial output, not a licensed data service. If you want to use it, ask us.

9. Third-party links

We sometimes link to external sources. We do not control them, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the site develops. The "last updated" date above will change when we do, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Belgian law. The courts of Belgium have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or connected with the site, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence.
